Weekly Devotion and Prayer
By Amanda Stein

Following the four amazing days of Annual Conference in Green Bay, my reflection is abbreviated in words but full of gratitude. Our clergy, our lay persons, staff, and church members are amazing people. Truly. Every year I return home from our gathering, reminding myself what a blessing it is to be part of the United Methodist Church! What an honor it is to serve alongside all of you! What other organization could we ever be a part of, what other mission could we ever join that would have a more powerful mandate than to learn to love more, better, and with greater frequency?!

I pray that you will join me to reflect on giving thanks for the people of the WI Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church this day. Let us look to the words of greeting and gratitude from the Letter to the Philippians, Chapter 1:3-6.

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Thanks be to God!
