The hymn God of Grace and God of Glory contains these lines that seem so appropriate at this time:
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage
for the facing of this hour,
for the facing of this hour.
May these words provide the basis for a prayer of comfort and strength in this uncertain and trying hour.
God of light, and life, and grace,
Be with us to calm our hearts and minds,
To remind us that you are Lord of all.
Grant us both wisdom and courage that we might stay non-anxious
and be a source of calm and comfort and strength to others.
Help us to truly understand – we are all in this together, and you are with us every step of the way.
We ask your healing, comforting, strengthening grace, dear God.
