Rebecca Gregory Becomes UMCS Directory of Development and Outreach

Rebecca Gregory has been named the new Director of Development and Outreach at United Methodist Children's Services (UMCS). Rebecca joined UMCS on November 30 and in addition to leading efforts to raise funds for the agency and support work in the Washington Park neighborhood, Rebecca will also be focused on community outreach, strengthening relationships with existing partners and exploring new opportunities for partnership and cooperation.

Rebecca has 15 years of experience in public service - first as a public school teacher and then many years working in fundraising and marketing for nonprofit agencies in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Over the past 10 years, Rebecca has gained extensive experience in grant writing and management, donor relations and stewardship, and project management in fund development and marketing. Most recently, Rebecca worked with the Roman Catholic Order of St. Camillus, directing their fundraising and branding as well as serving as the stateside project manager for their overseas humanitarian aid projects. She is a transplant from Massachusetts and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Framingham State University in Framingham, MA.

Rebecca resides in the Washington Heights Neighborhood in Milwaukee, which borders Washington Park, with her husband and young son. She fell in love with the city of Milwaukee and it’s cultural diversity when she first visited over 12 years ago and made the decision to move here in August 2010. That move and this city was the catalyst to the fulfilling life she has today. Her passion for this city and the people who live here is what drew her to UMCS. The Washington Park Neighborhood has a rich history, resilient and resourceful neighbors, and the drive to bring all that Milwaukee has to offer to its current residents.  Rebecca wants to be a servant to that cause and use the expertise and skills she’s gained from this city to help the UMCS residents and the Washington Park Neighborhood reach their goals.
