Join the UMCs Community at A Day of Celebration on August 14

You are invited to join United Methodist Children's Services of WI at our community block party on August 14 from Noon to 3:00PM. United Methodist Children's Services of WI is hosting a block party on the UMCS Campus to include food, music, and fun- family friendly games and activities! Space is limited so register today.

WI Annual Conference Gathering of Supplies

On June 23-24 the Midwest Mission Distribution Center truck traveled through Wisconsin and picked up the items and cash donations. The donated supplies weighed 7702 pounds and included 115 cleaning kits, 6 sewing machines, 1451 personal dignity kits and 1,000 hygiene items. The number of supplies gathered was three times the weight of the 2020 collection. In addition, the $4815.27 cash donation received doubled the amount of received in 2020.

Expressions of gratitude are extended to Conference churches that gathered supplies and delivered them to the drop-sites, who in turn took them to the pick-up locations. Thank you for your generosity and cooperation!

Fill The Bus Drive- Crossroads UMC, Waunakee, WI

Every year the Waunakee Neighborhood Connection teams with Lamers Bus Company and the Waunakee Community School District to collect new school supplies for district students who otherwise cannot afford the supplies required for the school year. Throughout the month of August, business sponsors host the Lamer’s school bus to help collect the supplies to assemble the 150-200 supply bags needed.

The bus will be parked at Crossroads United Methodist Church (5901 Hogan Rd, Waunakee) on the weekend of July 30th-August 1st. If you can't make it to drop off your supplies on the weekend the bus will be parked at church, you can drop your supplies off on any Sunday in July and CUMC staff will put them on the bus for you.

Nyadire Connection Celebrates years of Sharing God's Love

HARARE, Zimbabwe (UM News) — The Nyadire Connection, a faith-based nonprofit organization that has supported the Nyadire United Methodist Mission since 2006, is celebrating 15 years of ministry in northeastern Zimbabwe. Some 50 teams have returned to the mission over the years, with projects and programs valued at more than $5.5 million, including the construction and rehabilitation of five rural health clinics. Online Worship Resources' Permission Extended

 NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The United Methodist Publishing House is extending full permission to all churches for use of its copyrighted worship materials through Dec. 31. In this challenging time for churches, the publishing house aims to ensure access to essential worship aids and use of the Common English Bible for online worship and studies. Read press release

 

Grants Available to Support Ecumenism

WASHINGTON — The Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church invites applications for the 2022 Local Initiatives Grants, which support ecumenical and interreligious work. The Council of Bishops offers three grants of $1,000 each to groups within conferences for special projects. The deadline is Sept. 17.
