Regarding Scam Emails

It has come to our attention that many are receiving emails that appear to be from our District Superintendents asking for help or to send gift cards.  These are scam emails where someone is impersonating them.  Please take note of the email address of any emails that you receive from the Bishop, District Superintendents or Conference Staff.  The email address will always be from @wisconsinumc.org.

Please do not reply to any email that you are not certain of where it came from.  Please do not click any links included within the body of the email.  Mark the email spam.  If you find that you have responded to a scam email, immediately change the password to your email and mark the email spam.  Please remember that no one from the Conference Office will ever ask you for money or gift cards.  If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Lisa Wink at lwink@wisconsinumc.org in the Communications Department.
