Siblings in Christ,
Greetings in the hope we have in Jesus.
By now you may have heard that on July 25th, the judge in the suit brought against us by the Hebron United Methodist Church ruled in our favor by granting our motion to dismiss. They remain a United Methodist Church.
We wish to express our respect for the Hebron United Methodist Church, its history, and the vital mission they engage. We celebrate our presence in the community since 1854. Now our focus turns toward healing and restoration of our ministry in the name of Jesus.
We welcome the response from the court as it defends the Trust Clause. We are deeply grateful for our Chancellor and legal team, our Conference staff, and all who helped us strengthen this basic covenantal bond of our polity. Now we are blessed to focus on our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
May God’s peace be in our steps.
