Pastor Anita Lang, Wisconsin Conference Board of Global Ministries Chair, and Gail Burgess, Global Ministries secretary, attended the North Central Jurisdiction's Mission Academy from August 9 to 12, 2023. The event took place at the scenic Epworth Forest Camp and Conference Center in North Webster, Indiana.
Mission Academy provided a unique opportunity for learning, connecting, and celebrating. Participants were able to immerse themselves in a collective experience that celebrated our shared mission while engaging in enriching workshops. There was something for everyone at this event, whether looking to increase their knowledge, network with like-minded individuals, or simply rejuvenate their spirits.
Anita Lang says it was one of the most valuable and wonderful trainings she's ever taken. "In addition to sharing this transformative knowledge, I have become more aware of the wide array of missions that exist locally, nationally, and internationally as a result of these learning sessions. Our neighbors will be able to share their stories and be aware of their needs as a result. We just need to say, 'Here I am Lord...send me, use me...We are on a mission.'
