On September 30, 2019, our Director of Finance and Administration, Tamara Wims, will leave the staff of the Wisconsin Conference. For a variety of personal reasons, Tamara feels this is the best time to make a change, wrapping up her duties for the Conference and preparing for a smooth transition with her successor, to be hired over the summer. She intends to return to her home area in Philadelphia.
Tamara is a valued and effective member of the leadership team of the Wisconsin Conference. Always offering a positive attitude, a warm smile, and an energetic spirit to her work, Tamara has done a wonderful job administrating our financial and connectional needs. She has worked hard to resource local churches, improve communication, train and teach local church leadership in areas of financial management, and she brings a fresh perspective to everything we do as a conference. She has been an excellent liaison to our Conference Council on Finance and Administration, our Board of Trustees, our Joint Board of Pensions, Insurance, and Equitable Compensation, and our Connectional Table. A strong supporter of the Launch Out! campaign, a champion for apportionment connectional giving, and a solid young leader, Tamara will be deeply and dearly missed by the Wisconsin Conference.
Be sure to express your appreciation and gratitude to Tamara in the weeks to come. She has been a wonderfully gifted leader and a beloved member of our Wisconsin Conference.
