Welcome to the Finance & Administration Office webpage. Our mission is to provide exceptional service in the areas of financial management, benefits administration and record preservation for local churches and the elected leadership of the Wisconsin Annual Conference.

Updates

  • Online Giving – If you would like to be added to the list of churches who are receiving on line donations via the Conference website, please e-mail our Treasurer, Sarah Sneider, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your church name and GCFA number. Tell your members this is available. We will send the money back to you via EFT the following Friday, with the donor information. Any questions, please e-mail Sarah.
  • Can Counters still come in and make deposits? – Keeping your church running and functioning is important. In this time, limit the number of people who are together. Have one person come in and prepare the deposit, make copies of the checks and get the funds into the bank. Another person can record to your records later. Your safety and health are the most vital at this time.
  • What else can we do? – Continue to keep in touch with your members, look at starting your own on-line giving system – Vanco is the system that the Conference uses. If members give through their broker (from their IRA), ask them to set up electronic payment directly to your bank account.

Local Church Finances

Our Finance and Administration Office is a resource for local United Methodist Churches in Wisconsin. The task of providing leadership in financial ministry is a great honor and an awesome responsibility. As a leader and steward, we want to provide you with a basic understanding of your role and the best practices. Apportionments

Apportionment is the term used to describe the amount that each United Methodist congregation is asked to contribute to the wider United Methodist Church in support of our missions and ministries around the world. In other words, it is A Portion Meant for Others. We sometimes call Apportionments the term Connectional Giving because it is an outward and visible sign of the connection within the UMC.

Churches

Individuals

We encourage individuals to give through your local church offering plate by writing the project/fund number in the memo of your check or envelope. But we also accept donations online. Browse the online giving website for individuals!
