Chain Saw Training (DNR Certification)

Attention Volunteers: Anyone using a chain saw as a volunteer must have certified training! This is a Chain Saw Training Course for beginners and experienced cutters with emphasis on safety and working with basic hazards evaluation.

This course covers:

  • Personal protective equipment
  • Equipment inspection / safe handling of equipment
  • Chain sharpening
  • Basic hazard evaluation / storm damage
  • Tree felling evaluation
  • Working with trees and branches under spring pressure

When: May 18, 2019 @ 9 a.m.
Location: Pine Lake United Methodist Camp, W8301 CTY HWY M, Westfield, WI 53964
Cost: $40 per person
Lunch: Will be provided

Nathan Stanford is an Independent Chain Saw Safety Trainer who is highly qualified.

Please bring helmet, ear and eye protection. Also bring work boots, gloves, chaps and chain saw if you have them. Dress for the weather.

You will receive a wallet card for participating or attending a basic chain saw safety course.
