Summerfield UMC Volunteers Party

With your support and love, we have weathered over two years of the COVID period.  Thank you for helping us continue serving meals to many facing food insecurity on the East side of Milwaukee. Most of you are aware that SUMC has offered on Saturday a hot meal to our neighbors since 2011 and made a slow expansion to serving lunches three days a week beginning in 2017.

Give yourself a big HUG as we continued with your help to serve a hot meal four days a week during COVID while all of the bigger charitable groups took an extended shut-down.

During a recent discussion with several volunteers, we realized that we rarely have taken the opportunity to share a meal with our volunteers who have become FRIENDS.

SO…………Let US PARTY!!!!!!

WHERE- 1300 North Prospect Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53202
WHEN-   Start time 5:30 or after 
REQUEST- We ask that you respond by September 15 with number of guests from your volunteer group who plan to attend. 
FOOD and DRINK:  We ask attendees to bring a dish to share (dish of your choice, favorite, specialty).   Meat and drinks will be provided. 
PROBLEM facing All-  PARKING   Prospect has two hour monitored street parking, with the two- hour limit ending at 7pm.  Although street parking is available it may require a couple blocks walk.  We encourage Car Pooling.

PARTNER CHURCH LEADERSHIP, help is needed as SUMC doesn’t have the separate addresses of your volunteers.  Please share with them our invitation.  Hopefully you will be able to coordinate the response for attendees and car pool efforts.
