Ever noticed how whenever Brewers fans and Cubs fans make headlines, it's usually for having a fight?
We thought we should try to make a different kind of headline by bringing rivals together for a special fun, festive, and deeply spiritual worship service that celebrates both.
Please join us for Communion with Cubs Fans at 10:15am Sunday morning, October 1, at Bethany-Calvary UMC in Wauwatosa/Milwaukee. Don't forget to wear your team apparel and have your singing voice ready for the only time you'll probably ever get to sing "Roll out the Barrel" or "Sweet Home Chicago" in Church. We will even be playing some live baseball in the sanctuary during children's time, so there is much for the whole family. This is our way of celebrating World Communion Sunday, which is a time we come together as God's children despite our different places or perspectives.
We will be having a freewill offering lunch afterwards featuring Brats and Chicago-style hotdogs at which all are welcome. Please call or email us to let us know you are coming or to find out more.
