At the Wisconsin Annual Conference session on Saturday, June 11th, during the Episcopacy Committee Report delivered by Chair Rev. Amanda Stein, she explained that at the forthcoming North Jurisdictional Committee (July 13-16, 2016) at Peoria, IL, four new bishops would be elected and one of the candidates is from the Wisconsin Annual Conference. “The candidate, Rev. Dr. Samuel J. Royappa, needs our prayers and support,” she said. Following Rev. Stein's presentation, Bishop Hee-Soo Jung called former Wisconsin Bishop Sharon Rader and Rev. Sam Royappa, Director of Connectional Ministries, up to the plenary stage for a moment of prayer. Bishop Jung and Bishop Rader led the Conference in a prayer for Royappa’s candidacy for bishop in the North Central Jurisdiction.
