Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 – October 15, is an official celebration of American citizens whose ancestry can be traced back to Spain, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. This month “pays tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society,” according to HispanicHeritageMonth.gov. UMCOM has put together several resources designed to celebrate the contributions of Hispanic-Latino individuals in your community. Explore these resources here.
