Annually all United Methodist Churches reflect on the mission of the church, celebrate ministries of community outreach, state dreams and plans for the future, approve congregational members for ministry, and care for a few administrative needs of the church. Charge/Church Conferences are held as individual congregations, or as circuit churches together so that mutual support and resourcing can occur.

For the fall of 2017, all Wisconsin United Methodist Charge conferences are using the same theme and agenda format. The theme “One With Christ” helps us to focus on what holds us together as United Methodist Christians. Lay leadership offers varied presentations as they share how each congregation has been a good neighbor to their communities and one another as they are one with Christ. Guiding Questions have included: Where does our congregation find joy and passion in ministry? Where is our congregations love for Christ being put into action now? What will we do to love our neighbor and connect outside our walls?

Bishop Jung prepared a video on unity to remind us Christ holds us together in mission and ministry as we strive to “Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” There is great passion and joy in so much of what we are doing in individual congregations and together as Wisconsin Conference United Methodist Christians. Please continue in prayer that we can keep our focus on the mission of the church: loving God passionately, loving our neighbor through acting to address their needs, and reaching new people as we make disciples of Jesus Christ!
