On Saturday, August 26th, Residents of Prairie Lake Estates Mobile Home Park ask for help in cleaning up property devastated by the F3 tornado on May 16. Community members, churches, and civic organizations will gather for a final clean-up of the trailer park. The clean-up day will begin at 8 a.m., and run until about 2 p.m., or as needed. Workers are encouraged to come for the entire day, or any portion they are able to serve. This clean-up day will consist of removing small debris using rakes and hands. There will be no need for heavy equipment or power tools. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Families are responsible for the care and safety of their children. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own rakes, work gloves, a water bottle, sunscreen, and wear closed toed shoes. Free lunch and water will be provided by the Salvation Army.

Location is Prairie Lake Estates Mobile Home Park, 1045 22nd St, Chetek, WI 54728. Parking attendants will direct you where to park. All volunteers will be required to complete a liability form at the registration table BEFORE being assigned to a work team. Living Waters Lutheran Church of Cameron, Red Cedar Church, and Maranatha Evangelical Free Church – both of Rice Lake—are collaborating along with the Salvation Army, Mosaic Telecom, and other community organizations to organize cleanup efforts.
