This year’s UMW Annual Gathering, entitled “A Call to Community,” will take place October 20 and 21 at First United Methodist, Waukesha, 121 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI. A pre-conference tour of Northcott Neighborhood House will be offered at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20. On Friday evening, an update on Northcott Neighborhood House will be presented for those not attending the District Officer training. On Saturday morning, Barbara Dick will give the keynote address on “Living as a Covenant Community.” In the afternoon, a panel from the Milwaukee Women’s Muslim Community will discuss their beliefs, what it is like being Muslim women, and how we can be in community with one another. Helen de Leon Camarce, a missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church and currently serving as treasurer of the agency's Cambodia and Southeast Asia Missions, will be attending the Annual Gathering.
