Bishop Hee-Soo Jung is pleased to announce the election of Tamara C. Wims, CPA, as the new Conference Treasurer/Director of Administration. The Conference Council on Finance and Administration elected her August 25 upon the nomination from a joint search team of the Conference Personnel Committee and the Council on Finance and Administration. She will be joining the Finance Office Staff on Monday, September 12.

“We are excited by the professional expertise, personal enthusiasm and church experience that Tamara brings to Wisconsin,” stated Bishop Jung. “Her love of the Church and commitment to its ministry and mission is outstanding. She is a welcome addition to the conference’s leadership team as we continue to implement plans that are transforming Wisconsin United Methodism with newly imagined approaches.”

Presently a member of the treasurer’s office staff of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference, Wims is a graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Black Accountants. A lifelong Methodist, Wims has served as a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Board of Higher Education and Ministry and is a newly elected member of the Investment Committee of the General Council on Finance and Administration. She is currently serving as the treasurer of the Philadelphia Caucus of Black Methodists for Church Renewal.
