Bishop Jung spent time with 320 clergy throughout the state during the first half of March at Clergy Days Apart in each district. District Superintendents began the day by speaking on the topic of peace and justice ministries, the good things happening in their district, and their hopes and goals for the future. Later, during a Bible study, Bishop Jung encouraged clergy to think about how their church is reaching out to those in their community that need the most help, and to make connections with local organizations to reach even more people. After lunch, Jean Nicholas, Director of Development, gave an update on our Imagine No Malaria progress, and delegates to General and Jurisdictional Conferences gave a preview on the major topics at hand at the upcoming events. The Clergy Day Apart contributions throughout the state to Imagine No Malaria totaled $2,823.62. Click here to see slides from the General Conference preview presentation.
