At least two tornadoes tore through parts of Northern Illinois on Thursday, April 9, according to the National Weather Service, killing two people and destroying homes and businesses in its path. The hardest hit communities were in Ogle and DeKalb counties, including the small town of Fairdale, which was mostly demolished by the massive tornado. Though no NIC church buildings were damaged and only a handful of UM church members were affected, please continue to keep all of Northern Illinois in your prayers as they recover from the damage.
