The Wisconsin Conference delegation to the 2016 General and North Central Jurisdictional Conferences has been meeting, organizing, and preparing to fulfill their responsibilities. Plans are being made to establish a web-based presence that will allow clergy and laity across Wisconsin to remain informed about the work of the delegation and the issues they will be considering at these upcoming quadrennial conferences. Members of the delegation will also be meeting with Conference boards, committees and other groups to receive their input about issues that will be considered at both the denominational and regional gatherings of The United Methodist Church.

At its February 12th meeting, the General Conference delegates selected their Legislative Committee assignments. The delegates and their committees are Dan Dick: Church and Society 1; Sam Royappa: Ministry and Higher Education/Superintendency; Steve Zekoff: Conferences; Lisa King: Financial Administration; Barbara Dick: Faith and Order; and Gail Burgess: Judicial Administration. There are six additional legislative committees, but due to the size of our delegation, we will not have voting Wisconsin members in those groups.

The delegation elected as officers at its fall organizational meeting Steve Zekoff, chair; Amanda Stein, secretary; and Lisa King, treasurer.
