The Metros region continues to Imagine Wisconsin Anew during their annual event for their districts on February 7 from 9:30 am to 3 pm at Christ UMC in Racine. All are invited to this free event that will focus on Tools to Make the Connection: Community Engagement. The keynote speakers are Dr. Angela Cowser, Director of the Center for the Church and the Black Experience and Assistant Professor of the Sociology of Religion at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary; and Dr. Mark Teasdale, Associate Professor of Evangelism at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Dr. Teasdale specializes in helping ministries attract youth and young adults. Dr. Cowser specializes in community development. The day will include workshops and discussions on relationships between churches and communities, helping people looking for a God connection, and ways to reach out to young people, diverse people, and new people.
