Pray for those affected by the devastation of the Israel-Palestine conflict, and for those responding to the crisis, especially our United Methodist brothers and sisters.

  • Eleven faith-based organizations, including the United Methodist Board of Church and Society, sent a letter to President Obama calling for the administration to change its policies to accomplish a lasting end to the hostilities between Israel and Palestine.
  • The U.S. National Council of Churches and World Council of Churches also have called for an end to hostilities in Gaza.
  • Food insecurity in Gaza is one of the results of the current deadly conflict between Israel and Palestine. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is working with American Near East Refugee Aid to provide emergency food assistance to 650 Palestinian families. Click here to read more.
  • In a statement, Church World Service, a humanitarian aid group, said the conflict "threatens the dignity and hope for all people in the region."
