The Juda Zion United Methodist Church sponsored two successful community outreach events in August. First was the sixth annual community block party where over 110 neighbors gathered for a picnic meal, music, games and fellowship. A highlight of the evening was a pie auction and a group photo. The second event was an all-day VBS program. Over 75 children in grades 4K-6th grade gathered, along with 60 plus volunteer helpers. Bible stories, songs, games, crafts and snacks were enjoyed by all attending, all geared to the theme “Polar Blast, Where Jesus’ Love is Cool.” Parents were treated to an end-of-the-day program, and all participants went home with a free T-shirt.
