Clergy and lay people from UMC churches around Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, as well as other community members, came together on Saturday, August 18th to learn how to respond to Active Shooter Threats. The training was led by members of the Cudahy Police Department SWAT team. During the day long training, the group took part in discussions as well as active drills. The training also included ALICE certification. Church leaders are already setting up a second training session called "Stop The Bleed" which will teach how to do first aid in these situations until paramedics arrive.
