On a night dedicated to celebrating the most outstanding institutions from both the private and public sector in Zimbabwe, Africa University was awarded first place at this year’s 6th edition of the Contact Centre Association of Zimbabwe (CCAZ) Service Excellence Awards. The award ceremony was held in October 2017 in the Higher Education Category at a gala hosted in Harare at the Rainbow Towers Hotel where over 450 delegates were in attendance for a night that showcased exceptional leaders in industry.

Africa University has emphasized its dedication to living up to its vision and mission of becoming a world class University that offers the best customer and student experience. The awarding of first place to AU at the Service Excellence Awards bares testimony to the University’s efforts and resounding success in achieving this. Ms. Liseli Nare, the Regional Programs Manager of the Chartered Institute of Customer Management, the co-organizer of the Service Excellence Awards said, “The winners set a benchmark of excellence and show that they are doing something right and deliver a quality that customers come to expect and measure all other organizations by”. One of seven apportioned giving opportunities of The United Methodist Church, the Africa University Fund transforms Africa by educating and empowering students from across the continent through Africa University, the first fully accredited, United Methodist-related educational institution on the continent. The Africa University Fund supports the general operating expenses of Africa University including faculty and staff salaries and vital infrastructure. The Wisconsin Conference is proud to give more than 100% to the University every year.
