The Poynette Inch UMC packed 30 boxes for Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project. Operation Christmas Child aims to bring joy and hope to needy children around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 100 million shoe box gifts have been delivered to children in more than 130 countries.

Poynette Inch’s Wednesday Night Church School (WNCS) program, for children aged 4k through 5th grade, has been preparing to donate since the beginning of September. They have been bringing in their offering coins to help pay for the gift items that were bought. On Wednesday, November 15th, the WNCS children were excited that they got to pick the gifts that went into their own boxes. Gifts included stuffed animals, toothbrushes, soap, chapstick, toy cars and trucks, colors, markers, glue sticks, craft supplies, rulers, and notebooks.
