Kenosha: First United Methodist Church provided a Thanksgiving feast to hundreds of hungry locals in need, unable to cook for themselves or with no place to go.The downtown church went through more than 350 pounds of turkey, 200 pounds of sweet and mashed potatoes, trays of vegetables, more than 40 pies and gallons of juice and coffee. Volunteers started prepping the turkeys Wednesday and started cooking early Thursday morning. “It’s a team effort,” said long-time volunteer Pamela Garsibe-Meyers. “This is my family’s tradition — my kids are here ...
