Veteran's Day weekend was a special time in Cudahy. Cudahy UMC participated in a city-wide fundraiser for Honor Flights called "Flight of a Lifetime," which is run by friends of the church Jennifer and Courtney Clark. The church assisted in a three-day outdoor rummage sale that was part of the event. Also, there was a silent auction, raffle, brat fry, and a concert on Saturday night. Sunday worship for the event was held at Cudahy UMC, and included a presentation of the American Flag by veteran members of the congregation, as well as thanks and prayers for all our veterans and active service men and women. The goal for the event was to raise $30,000 for the Honor Flight program; and it is estimated that the goal was made and potentially exceeded.
