Several years ago, the traditional week-long Vacation Bible School program at the Juda Zion United Methodist Church was discontinued due to lack of participation. In 2014, it was decided to try an innovative one-full-day VBS under the direction of Shelly Jordan. Community families were contacted via mailings and Facebook, and the congregation prayed that 20 children would register; 40 came! In 2015, over 60 children registered, and this year, there were 81 youngsters who heard the message that Jesus loved them. More than 40 teachers and helpers were also involved for the day. Truly a hallelujah moment! Due to generous donations and church sponsorship no child was charged a fee.
