On Sunday, January 24th, 2016, members of Faith United Methodist Church, rural Prairie Farm, received the news that they had been the recipient of a check for $2,000 from the National Christian Foundation based in the Twin Cities. “We were elated,” Barbara Bender, said. “Someone may have specifically given our name. Most donors wish to remain anonymous, and we are grateful for whoever that might be. It will help toward our project this summer, which will be a new roof for the church. The old one has been on for over 60 years. God does work in mysterious ways!" The organization is 33 years old and has 30 affiliates around the world comprised of over 14,000 families who donate funds—many for tax deduction purposes. Last year they issued 140,000 checks, distributing $2.3 billion.
