March for Our Lives (Milwaukee)
Saturday, March 24, 2018, 10:00am - 03:00pm

There has been a lot of blame-laying and finger-pointing since the Parkland shooting. “Where are the churches in solving this problem?”

On March 24, the young people of Parkland, Fl., Have organized a national march and we will be joining with an ecumenical group called Collars for Gun Control here in Milwaukee. We invite all clergy and leaders to join with us also as we stand together, peacefully, all religions, all denominations. Shoulder to shoulder, in one accord, in obvious clerical garb so that there can be no question, and make the presence of the global church known as a part of the solution to the issue of gun violence in our neighborhoods and beyond.

Event organizers state the event begins at the Milwaukee Courthouse with a march to City Hall. There will be speakers at the Milwaukee County Court House and voter registration at City Hall. See our Facebook page for more information!

Please join us for all or part of the event. Please invite others to join us at the event. Clergy are encouraged to wear clerical collars and/or stoles. Collars for Gun Control will gather by the fountain/flagpoles area at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.

Collars For Gun Control is a group of clergy and lay faith leaders, from all denominations and faith traditions, youth and adult, who believe religious leaders need to be more visible and vocal in the public dialogue advocating for gun control. Pray for us - we will pray for you and all victims of gun violence.

Location - Milwaukee County Courthouse (901 N. 9th Street, Milwaukee)
