Committee on Finance and Administration (CF&A) Chair Carrie Kreps Wegenast and Conference Treasurer Lisa King presented the 2016 Budget — Action Item #23, which will come to a vote on Sunday. Wegenast reported that the proposed budget of $7,032,028 is a 1.9% increase over the 2016 budget. Last year, approximately 2/3 of our congregations gave 100% apportionments, and she added that the Conference ended 2015 with $20,737 revenue over expense. CF&A Action Item #12 passed, which changes the language of Conference Rule 3.3.22 to include the Conference Director of Development and President of the Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation as members serving on CF&A without vote.

Janet Hartzell spoke about the Acts of Repentance worship service to be held on Sunday morning, and presented Action Item #15, “Call for Repentance Actions In and By Local Churches”, which was submitted by a task force made up of both Native Americans and non-Native Americans alike. The motion passed.  “We need to do intentional work together,” Bishop Jung said. “Thank you for the task force and to Wisconsin for adopting this.”
