About Us
For more than 50 years, Whispering Pines has served the United Methodist Church in Wisconsin as a camp and retreat center. In addition to serving our supporting churches, our facilities are open to other denominations and faiths, churches, community agencies, public and private schools, scouts, 4-H clubs, and other non-profit organizations whose concern for individual and corporate growth and integrity is similar to ours.
Our goal is to provide a setting where people of all ages can:
- Experience Christian community
- Feel acceptance and love as whole persons
- Deepen one's faith in God
- Practice caring for all of God's creation.
Located on Spirit Lake near Frederic, Wisconsin, we are within a two hour drive from Eau Claire, Duluth, and the Twin Cities. (View a map or Get directions)

Employment
We are looking for people who are sincerely interested in working with kids in a Christian environment for an extended period of time. We want staff members who are patient, understanding, sensitive and nurturing. We are seeking individuals who are mature enough to put the needs of their campers before their own, and who are not afraid of hard work.
