Where Adventures in Faith Come to Life
Whispering Pines is a United Methodist ministry that welcomes everyone, young and old alike, into an outdoor setting to be called, nurtured, and equipped for discipleship. In the summer time, we offer camps for a children, youth and families.
Whispering Pines is available in the fall, winter, and spring for use as our calendar permits. Our facilities are open to other religious denominations and churches, community agencies, public and private schools, scouts, 4-H clubs, and other non-profit organizations whose concern for individual and corporate growth and integrity is similar to ours.
In the past our facilities have been used for outdoor education, confirmation retreats, Christmas banquets, all church retreats, fellowship luncheons, men's or women's retreats, long range planning, church council retreats, youth retreats, family reunions, and more.
We offer a well-maintained facility and full meal service. We provide our guests with a comfortable and relaxed learning environment. Our Ministry
Whispering Pines is a ministry of the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church. We have served the Wisconsin UMC churches, as well as the surrounding communities in Wisconsin and Minnesota for over 50 years as a place where people of all ages and faiths can learn more about themselves, their relationship with God, and the world in which they live.
Our Mission
Our purpose is to support the local church by providing an open door into the Christian life in the United Methodist tradition, using year-round outdoor settings for extended experiences of spiritual growth and discipleship.
Our Vision for the Future
Here at Whispering Pines, we are excited about our future. Situated in one of the growing areas in the state, we believe we can provide the programs and facilities which will serve our UMC churches and our surrounding community well into the future. We hope to increase our summer camp enrollment by 50% in the next two years. Our newly remodeled hilltop cabins give us new opportunities for spring and fall retreats for youth and families. And the opportunity to employ a full time assistant for program development will ensure a bright future for Whispering Pines as we seek to serve our guests and campers.
