- Fulfill the unit's Pledge to Mission.
- Be a Five-Star unit, contributing through all five channels of undesignated giving.
- Have at least one person in the unit use the Prayer Calendar (#2858) regularly .
- Have at least one person in the unit correspond with mission personnel listed in the Prayer Calendar.
- Contribute needed resources to a mission project listed in the Women's Division Resources Mission
Catalog (#2579), Northcott Neighborhood House, or Children's Services.
- Have at least one member of the unit, other than a conference or distribute officer, attend the
School of Christian Mission or Mission Alive.
- Contribute at least $10 to the School of Christian
Mission.
- Offer a School of Christian Mission Scholarship
to a local person.
- Conduct at least one School of Christian
Mission study in the unit during the year.
- Participate regularly in a "hands-on" mission project.
- Have at least one unit member, other than a district or conference officer, attend a local or district
mission education event.
- Participate in a Social Action project. See "Why Should I Get Involved in Social Issues" (#5132).
- Have at least one member of the unit, other than a district or conference officer, attend the district annual gathering.
- Have at least one member of the unit, other than a district or conference officer, attend the Conference Annual Gathering.
- Conduct at least two programs from the UMW Program Book (#2891) yearly.
- Stay "connected!" Have at least two subscriptions to RESPONSE magazine available to members.
- Learn about missions! Have at least one subscription to NEW WORLD OUTLOOK available to members.
- Share a RESPONSE article at unit meetings at least twice a year.
- Have at least one member join the United Methodist Action Network and report important information to others in the unit. (Information from your district coordinator for social action.)
- Implement the Charter for Racial Justice (#5297) through study, participation in an inter-cultural event, or other action each year.
- Conduct a yearly study exploring the biblical basis of mission. See "Mission: Responding to God's Grace" (#2851-$.50) or
"Ministries with Women/Ministries with Children & Youth" (#1892-$.30).
- Participate in the UMW Reading Program. See "The Reading Program" (#5510).
- Have at least two members complete the first level of the Reading Program.
- Have at least one member complete the second level of the Reading Program.
- Begin a Young Women's Circle. See "Empowering Young Women" (#2742-$5.00).
- Begin a Teen Circle. See "What's the Purpose?" (#2913).
- Recruit at least two new members to the unit. See "Guidelines for Attracting Retired Women" (#2952-$3.50).
- Celebrate UMW Sunday. Information is sent yearly from the Women's Division.
- Co-sponsor, with your local church, a Children's Sabbath worship service. Your pastor received yearly information.
- Contact and have a district officer or representative visit your unit.
