Several of our group had an inspirational time at the WI Conference U M W Annual Gathering at Algoma Blvd UMC in Oshkosh on Oct 9 & 10. A highlight on Friday Evening was our friend & speaker, Sue Setterland. Sue is past state president of UMW and has faced many challenges in
her life. She has had both legs amputated and most recently suffered a stroke while vacationing with friends in Texas. She is making excellent progress and has the attitude that this experience will just make her story that much better! She is truly is an amazing witness for Christ and challenged us to persevere in good and tough times.

On Oct. 27th we made 30 dozen cookies for the Seamen's Ministry. Churches in the G.B. area prepare simple Christmas boxes with baked treats, a comb, a pair of socks, etc for Sailors who come into the Port of Green Bay in Nov & Dec. These men have been at sea for months and will have no other Christmas. They have always been most appreciative.

We meet the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
