Good News! New Stephen Ministry Spiritual Gifts Ministry Team
Tcop (Taking Care of People)
New Ministry Supported by Conference Memorial Foundation Grant
The Stephen Ministry Leader Coordinator Pauline I. Scott, at Good Hope United Methodist Church, has spearheaded a new Spiritual Gifts Ministry Team.
Pauline will lead, coordinate, teach the spiritual gifts course, along with other team members, publicize the spiritual gifts course and spiritual gifts ministry in general, mentor people in how to use their gifts, and help to establish a database of gifts and ministry interests. "The world needs healing and ministry, and spiritual gifts equip the church for these tasks.
A Note From Sister Pauline
Stephen Ministry Is Equipping Lay People For Caring Ministry
During the times of the early church, the apostles decided to choose among their faithful disciples those who would be sent into the community to minister to the needs of the people. "And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit . . ." Acts 6:5
In Ephesians 4 (NRSV), Paul talks about pastors and other leaders as gifts God has given the church "to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ."
The Stephen Ministry gives us an organized way to equip those gifted for caring ministry so that they can build up the body of Christ by providing Christian care and support.
Coming soon! The Stephen Ministry Spiritual Gifts Ministry.
Also, the Stephen Ministry is becoming a powerful disciple-making tool through Christian Caregiving. More to come about making disciples in the late Spring.
God Bless!

The World Needs Healing and Ministry: Show Them You Care
When you see people who are sad, lonely, or just need a friend,
don't tell them you care, show them you care.
Ask how they are, listen to what they have to say,
share the love of Jesus.
And, if their need is great, ask them to consider Stephen Ministry
as a way to receive transforming love and care of Jesus.
Show them you care, and make a real difference in their life.
"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus;
who . . . made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant."
Philippians 2:5-7a

In-Home Caring Ministry
Plan of Action
. . .you . . . cared for me as though I were an angel
from God or even Christ himself.
--Galatians 4:14 (NLV)
. . . In The News
The Ministry IV Tcop (taking care of people) In-Home Caring Ministry (in conjuction with Stephen Ministry and The Circuit Ministry) is to teach and to equip individuals in a unique, holistic, biblically grounded ("get-it-done) ministry, to help individuals who are physically handicapped, holistically, in the congregation, the circuits, throughout the neighborhoods, and the community, and the world.
Thank You! Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation for giving us the opportunity to do ministry in our Lord Jesus name in a new creative and innovative way.
Ready To Work For The Lord?
The Tcop (taking care of people) In-Home Caring Ministry (in conjunction with Stephen Ministry and The Circuit Ministry) is offering OWT(on-work training) to individuals who are looking to minister holistically to individuals who are phycially handicapped.
Is God calling you to be a part of this in-home caring ministry--ministering to the whole person? If your answer is yes "Here I am, Lord, send me", please talk with Ms. Pauline I. Scott,
414-353-5555, today about how you might serve in this servant leadership ministry vocation.
Who Cares?
Tcop does!
Blessings,
Pauline I. Scott
There will always be individuals who will need in-home caring. This is to say that Ministry to me is lasting, programs fade away.
