Volunteer Opportunities at LucerneVolunteer Opportunities at LucerneLake Lucerne Camp & Retreat Center has been blessed over the years by many dedicated and giving people who have helped shape the camp into what it has become today. If you are interested in getting a group together to come and volunteer at Lake Lucerne please call the director, Chip Hutler, at 920-293-4488. Volunteer opportunities must be scheduled well in advance, especially during the busy summer season. Please be patient with us, we want to find a time just for you.
There are also VIM opportunities at the Wisconsin United Methodist Camps. VIM stands for Volunteers in Mission. Lucerne will be hosting a VIM week in 2008. Please consider joining us!
VIM September 28 - October 3, 2008
Arrival time is 3:00pm on the 28th
with departure at 1:00pm on the 3rd. Anticipated projects at Lucerne would
include cleaning & staining the exterior of Sherman Admin. and Dellwood
bathhouse buildings, cutting and splitting firewood, fall shut down/close
-up of
seasonal areas of camp (waterfront, Hillcrest, and recreation area), and
painting. If funds are available, Dellwood cabin remodeling work would also be a
possibility. The Cost is $125 per person or $25 a day for those who can't stay
for the whole time. Registration deadline is September 15, 2008
