Ridgewood Remodel Project
The Lake Lucerne Camp & Retreat Center has begun a fundraising project that will improve the Ridgewood Cabins and the Ridgewood Retreat Center. The cabins to be remodeled include: Pine, Elm, Oak, and Aspen Cabins. The cabin remodel would consist of adding a new furnace and air conditioning, new energy efficient windows, creating a new shower room, upgrading electrical service, new alcove kitchennette, and more. The Ridgewood Retreat Center remodel would include: new energy-efficient furnace, replacing bathroom floors and fixtures, adding an efficient fireplace insert with glass doors, and more. With upgraded cabins and retreat center, we will be able to offer more attractive and comfortable facilities for our guest campers, families, and retreats. The effort will also significantly improve energy efficiency. The estimated cost for each cabin's upgrade is $50,000. Oak Cabin has been newly updated! Phase one of the remodeling project is complete. Oak Cabin now offers a more open feel with Cathedral ceilings in the living area. The carpeting has been replaced and a new shower has been added! Old windows were replaced with energy efficient ones and new insulation added to keep things cozy in the winter and cooler in summer. Thanks to all of you who contributed to this project so far! We are still looking to raise funds to complete Phase 2 of the project. Dellwood Cabin Remodel Continues
The Lake Lucerne Camp & Retreat Center has continued to update its Dellwood Cabin Area one cabin at a time. Hummingbird, Meadowlark, Cardinal, Bluebird, Chickadee, Woodpecker, and Bluejay cabins have been remodeled. The remodel has included updates to electricity, new windows, insulated doors, and other additions and repairs. There are now just four cabins left to go; Whippoorwill, Robin, Oriole, and Goldfinch.
