Connections is written and published by Barbara Wendland, a United Methodist
laywoman. It appears on the Capital District web pages with her permission.
Her objective in writing Connections is to reach as many church members as
possible, in order to stimulate fresh thought and open discussion about the
topics she writes about. You therefore have her permission to print (please retain
the format) and distribute copies to church groups and other friends.

It is Barbara's wish that the formatting of her newsletter be preserved as it is in the
printed copy. One good way to do this is to scan the original and save it as an
Adobe Acrobat pdf file. What it means for you is that you need the free Adobe
Acrobat Reader which can read pdf files. The Reader installs both as a standalone
application and as a web browser plug-in, which will allow you to read the newsletter
without having to save it to your computer first and open a separate application.
