New Faith Start-up Academy (NFSA)

The first Academy was completed in November 2003 with 22 participants. The participants were chosen because of their interest in develoment of new faith in their local areas such as Green Bay, West Kenosha, Somerset, Cottage Grove, Verona, Mosinee and Appleton. The effect of the Academy has already been felt in five of these new faith communities.

The next Academy will focus more on leaders that will be selected to go to an area of new faith potential, as well as those already similarly located.

Lay Persons and New Faith Start-up Leaders

The Board of Congregation and Circuit Development is at work preparing for its first school oriented toward laypersons initiating and leading new faith start-ups. The Hispanic Plan has already led the way in reclaiming this vital ministry for laity as lay missioners. Part of the design will include how to start house churches.
