"When the son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels are with him, then he
will sit on the throne of his glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he
will seperate people one from another, as a shephard seperates the sheep from the goats.
And he will put his sheep at his right hand, and the goats at the left. Then the king will
say to those at his right hand, 'come, you that are blessed by my father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave
me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you
welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I
was in prison and you visited me.' Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when was it
that we saw you hungry, and gave you food, or thirsty, and gave you something to drink?
And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you
clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?' And the king
will answer them, 'truly, I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these, who
are members of my family, you did it to me."
- Matthew 25:31-40

An Invitation to Faith Leaders to Participate in A Call for Health Care Justice
| Health Care Justice |
The 2000 Wisconsin Annual Conference passed a resolution supporting
the Universal Health Care 2000 Campaign. Now that you are invited to join in issuing
"A Call for Health Care Justice", a letter which proclaims that our national
health care delivery system crisis is a matter of justice and morality. Join Bishop Sharon
Zimmerman Rader in signing this letter which will be a part of the media events that will
surround Health Care Justice Week, October 13 to 22. Launched in October 1999, by the
National Council of Churches, the Universal Health Care Action Network and the Gray
Panthers, the U2K Campaign seeks to bring about a national guarantee of comprehensive,
accessible, quality, affordable, and publicly accountable health care for all. It is based
on a principle of justice, not upon the support of a particular legislative proposal.
If you wish to be a part of this effort, please sign this letter and return it by October 10 the U2K Campaign office. You may also be interested in these Worship Resources.
