Bands & Speakers

The Turning

The Turning began in 2001 as a group that combined soaring melodies and aggressive pop rock with lyrics that go beyond the surface to deeper issues of the heart. With hopes to reach people’s hearts with the truth, The Turning promises great music that reaches beyond the surface into deeper questions of life and eternity.

Flatfoot 56

Flatfoot 56, a Celtic punk band from the working class south side of Chicago, this band of brothers and a bagpipe player stirred things into a circle pit of frenzy with their debut release “Knuckles Up.” They have had a packed year of non-stop touring and shows with the likes of Flogging Molly, 7 Seconds, and the Business.

Speaker

Josh Finklea

Josh’s story is proof of the power and love of God. God took a screwed up kid and turned him into a man who is used by God. Josh’s life started on a rough road. He was born deaf and his father left. From there the road went from being rough to just being the wrong road.

Josh found love and purpose through Jesus Christ. Josh now takes that message to the world. He has been anointed to share God’s love with the lost and hurting of the world.

Hotel Information

Hotel rooms have been reserved at a number of area hotels that range in price. (Please note, while Churches are Sales Tax Exempt, they are not exempt from a 6% hotel occupancy tax.) Reservations must be made through the registration website or by calling Creative Convention Consulting. Please do not call the hotels directly. We are receiving a special hotel rate for Convo that can only be received if you reserve hotel rooms through the registration process. (Also, reserving hotel rooms through our registration also helps Convo save money on other expenses, and helps to keep your future year’s registration price down.)

Churches must pay a $25 non-refundable deposit for each room that they reserve. Please refer to the registration information on how to register for hotel rooms.
