Do you want to be involved in Wisconsin ’s Conference Council on Youth Ministries?
There are a number of ways that you can get involved in CCYM and in Wisconsin Annual Conference Youth Ministries.
First , attend some of the many events that occur around the year in the conference. There are many events to get involved in that will allow you to meet new people, grow closer to God, and have a great time. Many of these events have design teams that plan the next year’s event. If you had a great time at an event and want to help out the next year, make sure to apply to be a part of the design team. It’s a great way to get involved!
Second , you can attend the Regional Youth Conferences this spring. These conferences will happen in each region, and are an opportunity to connect with youth across your region, gather for worship, conversation, and fun. It is at the Regional Youth Conferences where youth will be invited to attend the Wisconsin Student Leadership Meeting (WSLM) where representatives for CCYM are selected.
Third , you can always come and observe a CCYM meeting. We encourage all youth who are interested in being a part of CCYM to come check it out. At the CCYM meetings, representatives from across the conference gather to make decisions, plan events, discuss issues that relate to youth and youth ministry, and determine awards given for the Angel Fund scholarships and grants. If you are interested in attending a meeting, please email the youth office ccym@wisconsinumc.org and let us know you would like to come. We will send you a permission slip to fill out and bring to the meeting.
