     Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the lenten season. Lent is a season of the Christian year when people are invited to simplify their lives to focus on their relationship with God in Christ.      Welcome to our web page for Bashford United Methodist Church. We hope this is a window into the life and ministry of our congregation. Here at Bashford, you will find a group of Christians who seek to follow the example of Jesus: putting faith into action. We are a congregation that lives out the words of the Gospel to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

     At the same time, you will discover a congregation that is varied in age as well as theological perspective. We follow the tradition of John Wesley, founder of Methodism, in using Scripture, Experience, Tradition, and Reason to answer our theological questions of faith and practice.

     We invite you to come and be a part of our family of faith here on the eastside of Madison. Our members are drawn from the Eastside, Isthmus, and Westside of Madison, as well as Cottage Grove, Sun Prairie, DeForest, Monona, McFarland, Fitchburg, and Waunakee. We are truly a regional presence.

     We would like you to join us in our quest to relate Scripture to Life. We look forward to your presence with us for worship or any of our many opportunities.
