The Commission on Archives and History (CAH) is under the auspices of the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church. The Commission is made up of volunteers who oversee the Conference Archives and Historical Museum. Click here for the latest "Plan for Ministry".

The Commission on Archives and History meetings are held twice a year throughout the state. For minutes of past meetings, link to minutes.

Wisconsin Methodist History

This extensive account of Wisconsin Methodist History features the first Wisconsin Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church which met on July 12, 1848, in Southport, Wisconsin. You will also learn about Bishop Thomas Morris who presided over the conference as well as Amos Lawrence and the Methodist role in the founding of Lawrence University as a frontier institution of learning.
