The Commission on Archives and History is excited to announce the publication of "I Must, I Must, I Must" by Rev. Tony Farina. Rev. Farina has used a unique set of primary sources to tell the story of the work among the Italians in Wisconsin by the Evangelical Association. In 1907, a mission to the Italians in Milwaukee was initiated by the Milwaukee ministers of the Evangelical Association. The following year the work was taken over by the General Board of Mission who sent Katherine Eyerick who had six years experience working with the Italians in Wellsville, Ohio. Later, she married Rev. Augusto Giuliani a former Italian priest and they continued their work together. When her health failed and others suggested she should cut back on her effort, it was Katherine that exclaimed, "I must, I must, I must!". Following her death, Rev. Giuliani and others pressed forward so that eventually a number Italian-speaking Evangelical churches were established in Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha. It is a powerful story about newly arrived Italian immigrants who experienced the Good News and then bore witness to their faith in their adopted land. The soft-bound book is 196 pages and includes fourteen illustrating photographs. It is available by for $12.00 (including shipping).
